At ÜNLÜ & Co, although our sector inherently has a limited direct environmental impact, we position the reduction of our direct environmental footprint and the ecological impact of our operations as a key element of our business strategy. To better understand the environmental impact of our operations, we conduct baseline assessments and monitor all our direct impacts—from electricity, natural gas, and water consumption to emissions arising from vehicle use and air travel—in line with international standards.
Through our emission calculation efforts initiated in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, we identify areas for improvement and systematically implement energy-efficiency–focused enhancements.
To reduce energy consumption, we prioritize LED lighting systems, efficient pump technologies, and A-rated appliances. In water and waste management, we focus on preventing resource waste through sensor-operated faucets, the use of glass bottles, and recycling systems.
Through our digitalization policies, we aim to reduce paper consumption while strengthening environmental awareness among our employees and embedding this awareness as a lasting component of our corporate culture.
Within the scope of combating climate change, we calculate our operational emissions using the GHG Protocol methodology. In line with the organizational boundaries defined under the GHG Protocol, all subsidiaries of ÜNLÜ & Co and offices under our operational control are included in the emission calculations.
