ÜNLÜ & Co advised Akfen Holding on the sale of 40% stake for an amount of USD 869 mn in Turkey’s leading port operator Mersin International Port

The share purchase agreement for the 40% minority share sale to IFM Investors for an amount of 869 mn USD in Turkey’s leading port operator Mersin International Port (“MIP”), has been signed between Akfen Holding and IFM Investors. ÜNLÜ Menkul Değerler A.Ş. (“ÜNLÜ & Co”), the leading investment banking services and asset management group in Turkey, acted as the financial advisor of Akfen Holding.

The recent transactions ÜNLÜ & Co has successfully completed  include; the sell-side advisory to the shareholders of Asset Medikal in their sales of majority shareholding to Pera Capital, and sell-side advisory to Korozo Ambalaj and its shareholders in their partnership with Actera Group.

Since the beginning of the year, ÜNLÜ & Co completed the private placement of Sabancı Holding (USD 100 million) shares to international institutional investors. On the Debt Capital Markets front, ÜNLÜ & Co provided financial advisory for Çalık Enerji’s 150 million TL and Gözde Girişim’s 175 million TL corporate bond issuance transactions, reaching a total transaction volume of 325 million TL and 15% market share in Turkish Lira .
